STCHS and the Groveland Yosemite Gateway Museum are entirely run and staffed by volunteers. One of the most important opportunities for rewarding volunteering is to be docent at the Museum. The responsibilities are limited, and the chance to learn and enjoy are limitless.
A docent is the face of the Museum for visitors. They are the hospitable person at the entrance who enables the visitor to get the most out of their visit. Examples of docent duties include:

Docents determine their own schedule, but are requested to serve twice a month. Time spent at the Museum is roughly 3 hours per session.
