STCHS Volunteer

From its founding STCHS has always been volunteer organization. There are many ways to volunteer and participate in STCHS programs.

Volunteer Opportunities

STCHS Barbeque

Wine Tasting Cruise

Wine Tasting Cruise

STCHS Barbecue is a great day for community involvement and fun. Volunteers greet guests, serve meals, lead children's games, and set an example by enjoying themselves.

Wine Tasting Cruise

The STCHS Wine Tasting Cruise  features donated boat rides on Pine Mountain Lake with wine tasting stops along the way. Volunteers drive and help load boats, escort guests, help serve wine and appetizers, and make sure everyone is having a good time.

Clean Up and Work Days

STCHS Living History Day lets volunteers demonstrate their skills at old-time music, weaving, crafts, and games - all for the education and entertainment of visitors and local families.

With the cooperation of local schools, STCHS volunteers can interact with children in the cause of historic education by guiding class tours at the Museum or providing information to teachers..

Those interested in local history and genealogy can become familiar with local research resources by volunteering in the History Resource Center. Reviewing newspapers, family documents, and public records is a great introduction to the field.
